Our current process for the loading and transportation of carts in our cross-dock warehouses is manually intensive. Our operators not only load and unload carts, but have to move the carts between inbound and outbound doors.
Crucially, these movements are physically tiring and can pose safety risks to our teams on the ground. The process is inefficient, with the manual work slowing down operations.
Remotely operated forklifts could be the answer to increased safety and working flexibility for Maersk warehouse workers.
To create a safer and healthier work environment in our warehouses, we introduced active and passive supportive exosuits to make it easier for employees to carry items safely.
